Gottsupedia is
A project attempting to compile and organize information about Japanese martial arts and related topics, with a particular emphasis on Aikido. "Gottsupedia" stands simply for "Gottsuiiyan Encyclopedia".
While the intention is to keep things as objective and broadly explored as possible, right now the owner of this site is the sole contributor so that's not an easy task. Feedback and contributions from informed readers is welcomed with open arms.
Currently, the focus of work is expansion, correction and citation of linchpin articles. A handful peripheral of articles are the same or similar to wikipedia equivalents, however this is temporary and they are all in various stages of being researched and rewritten. Please check the Recent Changes link to the left for an idea of what's been done lately.
For a complete category list, see the Category index, or a complete list of the most linked to categories. Also, you can see everything we've got right here and Gottsupedia are here.
Again, user contributions are welcome and at one time had this site open for other users to sign up. Unfortunately, however, endless spam forced new user account creation to be disabled a while back. If you are interested in contributing, please send a message to "gottsupedia at gottsu-iiyan.ca" or to twitter @IanAtRenshinkai and an account will be created for you.
Gottsupedia has created first-of-a-kind English entries for prominent modern-day Japanese martial artists and their teachings, such as Kono Yoshinori Sensei of Shoseikan (松聲館), and Aikido masters Inoue Kyoichi Sensei and Chida Tsutomu Sensei (now on wikipedia, but I was first :-p ).
This wiki is also used as an information source by the websites of the Renshinkai Misogikan dojo in Russia, and Aikido Yoshinkan Burnaby in British Columbia Canada.
