Moebius is really a genious because he's not selfish. His words are true wisdom and people should read it. I feel and think the same way of Naoki Urasawa's works. And he seems a true person indeed, look at his personal life. It is most interesting!

To my shame -- I'd never ever learn of Naoki Urasawa if it wasn't for Moebius and his admiration of the artist. Quite different type of manga than the one I was used to.
Moebius is not just the quintensential visual artist and visionary, he is also a warm, wise and generous human being that I've had the honour to meet twice - in London UK both times.
His influence on mostly European artists and fame in the Old World is proverbial. In spite of many phenomenal artists and visual storytellers, Jean Giraud should be considered as The Best [comics] Artist Ever and I say it although I am not his devotee and greatest fan. Unlike many, he is the rarest kind - a creator of unseen worlds because he never drew or painted what he sees -- he showed us what he knows!

William George,

Yes, I've heard that about Korea!
I've met a lot of nice people FROM Korea, but I've been told many times not to actually GO TO Korea (sometimes by native Koreans, too).

I agree about Jean Giraud. His art is stunning. His work should be more readily avaliable and, yes, used as study material for young creators.
What first caught my eye was his use of colour. I think it's brilliant.

Santi,

Yeah, Moebius is really cool. I've been a fan for a very long time am I was really happy to see this interview about Urasawa. I just wish it was longer!

Heh, you should spend a few years in Korea. That'll get you appreciating the place again.

And Jean Giraud is one of the all time greats. He's one of those artists I wish more young creators would spend some time studying.
