The Eastern Edge

I was thumbing through some magazines at a bookstore the other day when this poster caught my eye.

I just liked the art. It seemed to pull me away from trying to read an interview with my favorite guitarist Slash in Japanese, over to the comics section to see what it was (sorry, Slash, I'll finish reading next time!). All that the poster says is "My Girl", that volume 4 of the comic came out Oct.23rd, and that it has been made into a TV drama.

New comic volumes are always wrapped in plastic at bookstores to stop loiterers from turning the stores into free comic cafes, so I did a little checking online. Not sure if I'll ever actually read the comic, but I do find the story premise intriguing. Maybe I'll find a copy to flip through someday, or better yet maybe I'll check out the TV show to see if I like the story.

In the meantime, though, I am finding some art from this series by creator Mizu Saihara that I really like so I though I'd post a few.
