Time to offload a few little bits and pieces of Urasawa goodness that I accumulated while researching for upcoming posts (which are coming soon, I promise).

⇒ I know that Pluto is coming out in English, but I wonder if overseas readers are ever going to get these babies!?

Special editions that feature commentary by Urasawa and Nagasaki that gives the story behind the story. Looks like I might have to add some of that commentary to my train translation queue when I get the interview done.

⇒ The official online home of Naoki Urasawa, rock star!

I haven't heard it yet, but the album is called "Half Century Man" and I hear it's not half bad.

⇒ Ever wonder what Kenji's signature song "Bob Lennon" from 20th Century Boys sounds like?

Enjoy!

And, here's the entire song accompanied by some slick visuals from the comic.

Nice work!

That's all for now...

I haven't heard any Urasawa's song. How many albums does he have?

He has two albums out.

Also, the version of Bob Lennon in the second video came with one of the manga volumes... and it lacks the gutalala sutalala part, while the live version has it (or one of the live videos I've seen has it).

Roxanne,

He has at least two that I know of, but he's not exactly buring up the music charts in Japan :)

Scar,

You gotta have "gutalala sutalala"!
That's the most repeated part in the comic.

I think it's pretty cool that it was a real song all along, and not forcibly made into one by a production company for the movie.
Not many comics artists can do that!
