In other news, I can't help but talk about the insanely addictive Billy Bat again because it bitch-slapped me in the face with another twist this morning in the latest chapter.
The origins of our protagonist Kevin's Billy Bat character design are beginning to surface. A symbol that appears to be the source of his Billy Bat gets unearthed, and it already reminds me of the "tomodachi" symbol in 20th Century Boys in terms of the role it looks like it's going to play in the plot.




The Billy Bat character design doesn't just look like this symbol, it's related to something sinister that Kevin knows - he even has a one panel flashback to indicate that he's definitely seen it before - but, much like in 20th Century Boys, the symbol's significance is buried in his subconscious.

I don't want to play spoiler, but the mystery has claimed it's first victim already (the little weasel deserved it, though!), so it looks like we're in for another Urasawa thrill ride.
