Just a few bits and pieces I found on the internet today:

First off is another story about Tama the Stationmaster cat. I've written about him a few times and, while I like the story about this little station and it's resident cat, I don't want to harp on it and become like the people over there who are milking this poor cat for all it's worth.
Apparently they are now painting trains in Tama the cat themes.

I'm sure it won't be long until a local cartoonist creates a manga and the town starts pitching it to animation producers.

More marketing silliness in an item on Japan Today about Green Apple Fanta. Coca Cola Japan says that it will introduce this NEW flavor, and that this flavor is one of the most popular in its 50 year history.
Uh, right.
So are they reintroducing Green Apple, or is this a case of Coca Cola taking a page out of Disney's book and declaring a movie "another classic" in the trailer before it's even released?
Either way green apple comes out next Monday the 27th for a limited time.

In another Japanese product related item, worth1000.com has a priceless post about a contest to create Transformer rejects. Some inspired stuff here.

My favorite of the bunch is this guy.

I have a pretty cool looking Dyson Cyclone vacuum at home that does lots of neat things, but unfortunately it can't do this.

Maybe this winter vacation I'll get some New Classic Green Apple Fanta and create my own Transformer rejects based on the Tama train, and some transforming boats based the original Tama-chan, the bearded seal.
I can make an entire army of Tamabots!

Or maybe not...

Random bloggings of Japanese things, translations of things, and my ramblings about those and other things.
