It took long enough, but I finally saw it with my own eyes!
I can imagine that finding something on SETI must feel a little like this multiplied by a million. I didn't believe it until I saw.

I've been told a number of times by people who claim to have tried to post a comment on my blog that they got an error and couldn't. I never found a problem so, naturally, I thought they were just trying to make me feel better cause I rarely get comments (lots of visitors, but not much participation).

However! When an admin can't post on their own blog, then there is obviously a problem! I just tried to respond to a recent comment and found out that I couldn't, which also tells me this problem that comes and goes but, until now, had evaded me.

So, I'm going to do some poking around to make sure everything is the way it's supposed to be, upgrade by blog software, and hopefully fix whatever ails my blog within the next few weeks.

Until I can get around to that, I have resurrected my forum. (I'll respond to you there, Jeff - thanks for the message)
At on time a few years ago my forum was doing well, until I was forced to pull it down because I changed servers and the format wasn't supported anymore.
When I put up a new one, but couldn't retrieve all the old member data and posts, everyone just said, "screw this" and stopped bothering.(Understandably, too. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes)

Anyway, the forum is back and blog comments will be disabled for now.
Btw, you don't need to sign-up to post (but it would be nice if you do anyway).

One thing still puzzles me, though...

Why the f*ck can the spammers post at will when my friends can't?!
