Prince Akishino, second in line to the throne, and his wife, just announced they are having another child.
What a coincidence! At age 39 (the wife, that is) and with their youngest daughter being 11 years old already, it only makes sense that they would want another child, right? It can't possibly have anything to do with internal rivalry in the Royal family - of course not.
To top it all off, of course, that pussy PM Koizumi and his lapdog Abe are now backing off the royal succession bill they had planned to rush through the diet that would have allowed females to ascend the throne, just in case it's a boy. Of course if it is a girl, well, I guess they just hop back on the bandwagon.
Funny, though, I don't hear anyone screaming about the possibility of a male heir to the throne studying overseas and getting involved with a blue-eyed foreigner women.
Now that they marry outside the former aristocracy to dilute their horribly in-bred gene pool, any male in-line to the throne could get involved with a foreigner, too. That could have happened all along.
Hmmmm...I guess that former trade minister Hiranuma and people who agree with him don't think that a man would do that.
Only a silly women would get involved with a foreigner, give birth to a half-bred mutant monster child and soil the Royal blood-lines forever.
I suppose if a man were to get involved with a foreigner, guys like Hiranuma would just push to reinstate concubines (of pure blood only), or something, to preserve the Royal line.
What about male concubines for an Empress?
Or, realistically, what if Princess Kiko has a son, but with a serious birth defect or disability? I hate to say it, but giving birth at 39 does have it's risks.
The more I think about it the crazier it gets...
